Brenda has had the pleasure of working for Orleans/Niagara BOCES since 2007 as a Literacy Instructor. This position has given her the opportunity to wear many hats over several years of teaching. Brenda’s primary role at BOCES is teaching adults in a diversified and multi-generational classroom all the skills required to earn their high school equivalency known as GED. Achieving this goal is life changing for every single adult who, for one reason or another, felt left behind but ultimately glows with pride and satisfaction when they obtain their degree from Orleans/Niagara BOCES. In addition to teaching the curriculum for GED, Brenda has also taught Pre-collegiate classes at a local community college as well as Job Readiness classes for adults in transition from one career to the next. The many hats she wears are the necessary pathways available to assist struggling adults in their quest to find their pathway for their own individual successes
